Music appreciation

I wish I could find a better way to share music files on this blog. I finally got a copy of this piece from last season's first VocalEssence concert. It is Dominique Argento's They Shall Hunger No More, performed by Cantus. It's currently my second favorite piece of music, the first being Bob Dylan's Workingman's Blues #2. I love it especially because of how the verse is paired with the harmony and melody which have a lot of augmented and diminished chords and intervals, and minor and major harmonies that make it sound comforting and at the same time a little worrisome and scary.
