We made a quick trip down to Iowa for a fast visit with my mom and my brother (who, by the way, still seems mad about the 1975 Knitting Incident even though he said he forgave me in a recent blog post) and to attend the winter meeting of the Tall Dog Bike Club. In addition to RAGBRAI excitement (and biking in general) we were curious to see what everyone looks like without tans and bike shorts. It was weird.
Bike hint from Heloise (Lee, actually): If you find yourself on a long ride and in need of talc for your hiney and you don't have any, Cremora (the powdered coffee creamer) is a decent substitute.
