Rant
Where does a full-figured gal shop for cute clothes? My beautiful girl, Hope, has a lot of junk in the trunk (with which she is happy, and rightfully so). I'm SO sick of the Old Navy, Target, etc., skinny jean ads. Where does a beautiful kid go to get flattering pants if she's not an Extra-Skinny/Slim/Stick/Praying Mantis?

I'm glad she's happy in her skin. :D You certainly can't buy that sort of confidence.
ReplyDeleteHmmm... Is she tall enough to shop at more adult stores like Gap or Express? Expensive for a growing kid, but have a few more "curvy" options for us booty-tastic females...
(Or maybe buy jeans that are the right size, hip-wise, at Old Navy or Target, and then have a friend alter them to fit other spots?)

Although you said you are sick of Old Navy and Target, you may try the jeans with the little plus mark after them. I HATED buying stuff for Molly with anything even remotely related to "plus" but they did have the same styles that she wanted with more room in the waist and butt. We also used to find great stuff at Limited Too, but I don't think they're around anymore (or are they???). Yoga pants, leggings, the knee length terry sweat-style pants worked too.

I have two girls that are...let's just say NOT stick thin. Try the JC Penny's girls dept. They have girls plus sizes up to a 20 plus. Life saver.
