Gary and Lorie shoved off for Iowa this morning. Lorie will be driving one of the two Tall Dog support trucks. It's her first RAGBRAI experience and I think she is going to have a wonderful time in between giving me text updates about Gary's inappropriate behavior.
My childhood friend, Mary Kay, is documenting her RAGBRAI adventure at Arizona Girls.
I will be holding down the homestead with the kids and an extra dog until I get to head west to see Andrea, stay in a nice hotel, go for a nice long run across the Golden Gate Bridge, gawk at naked people in the Castro District, order room service cheeseburgers and beer after the run, and watch all the dumb stuff we can find on TV while we rest our feet.
Ah...summer.
