What could be a more humbling way to start your day than with three losses in a row to 1st graders at chess club?

Answer: Having to line up with your K and 1st grade opponents and recite the game outcome in unison to the record-keeper: "Brian H. W (i.e., won) Mrs. Hanson."

And we were only playing two pieces.

I signed up to volunteer for chess club and instead I have to play with the students until the coach is satisfied.
