Can you smell the excitement?

She is going for a WALK with Grizzly Adams. She. Is. So. Happy!!

I don't want to invade Gary and his psyche too much, and I certainly don't want to embarrass him, but I will say that it has taken several years for Gary to warm up to Peg. Gary has a kind heart and means no harm to animals, but it takes him a bit of time to warm up to them.

He and Peggy have bonded on some snowy walks these past few months. He lets her off the leash and she runs off manically happy but comes back to him every few blocks. He comes home, amazed from these walks, that Peggy comes back to check on him, feeling safe, loving his companionship.

Who wouldn't? Gary, at his core, which is hard to find sometimes, is a good person with dog-loving tendancies.

How much poop could a poop-chucker chuck if a poop-chucker could chuck poop?

My dog might be crazy: Parts 1-trois

Is Peggy crazy? You be the judge. The funniest element to these videos is that The Dog Whisperer is playing on TV in the background. He's supposed to help us eliminate neurotic behavior, not encourage it.

"Peggy might be crazy... Part dos"

"Peggy might be crazy...Maybe not so much"

My sherpa, Peggy

She's not carrying my stuff; she's pulling ME.

Peggy would like to run faster

Aside from the intense pain of her leash squeezing my liver, spleen, and intestines in two, (there's nothing gentle about her Gentle Leader), a run with this dog is quite fun.

Sweet dreams

Hank got this tent from his cousin for being a ring bearer in his wedding this summer. Guess which creature in our family crawls in it every night. I think every boy should have a tent-sleeping dog in his room.

Emergency vets

Emergency vets
Originally uploaded by Mrs. Bickerson.

We interrupt today's playdate with a hasty trip to the veterinarian. Peggy has managed to wedge a tasty marrow bone onto her mandible, behind the canines. She looks calm in this photo (where she waits for the vet to sedate her and saw the bone off her face) but let me assure you that on the way to the clinic she was freaking out in the van. I have a nice gash on my face as evidence.
